Motivation: Just Do It

In life, you are never going to be ready for everything. So why fret about it? Just do it. If you do something for the first time it is likely going to be scary.

Decide to jump out a plane and go skydiving? Guess what, when you get 8,000 feet in the air you think its going to not be scary all of sudden and you are going to want to jump all of a sudden? I got news for you bro, you’re not. Instead, just do it. You’ll be proud that you did and when everything goes well you can decide if you enjoyed it or not. If something went bad well, you can find religion and pray for the rest of your life on the way down.

I say all this because I myself get scared over dumb things all the time. If you are in cyber/IT or anything stem related go for it. If you want to take the OSCP exam go slow and put one foot in front of the other and soon you’ll know more than you ever did. If you want to take it really slow start with an eJPT and give yourself some confidence to be a hacker.

I want that whatever you choose you have the confidence to keep going. Start small, work at accomplishing one task as if you were building a wall one brick at a time. Soon you will have a wall of accomplishments and confidence that cannot be torn down because it was built practically and not theoretically.

I had to put this out there because this week I was helping somebody who was interested in getting into cyber/IT and they let fear immobilize their progression and hinder themselves from attaining their dreams. It was a sad sight to see, but we all can be victims of it. Do not let fear immobilize you, it can make you pause but never make you completely stop.

As always, stay curious my friends.
